Gulf Breeze Optimist Club present Nashville Songwriters
Gulf Breeze Optimist Club members will present three Nashville songwriters in concert March 8 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze.
Thom Shepherd, Steve Williams and
Will Nance will perform in a casual setting from 7 to 9 pm. Lovers of all good music will appreciate and enjoy this trio who has written songs for many Nashville stars.
Social Hour with drinks and hors d'oevres begins at 6 p.m. Optimists, guests, neighbors and friends are invited and welcome to this Nashville-themed Saturday night. Tickets are $25 per person. Proceeds benefit the community youth in scholarships, awards, grants and any other needs that arise. Santa Rosa Woman's Club
Hunt Hall on Pensacola Beach was a very busy and entertaining place on Feb. 5 when the Santa Rosa Woman's Club (SRWC) held its monthly meeting. The get-together included recognition of Mardi Gras, installation of new members, a business meeting, the annual Arts and Crafts show and entertainment. The Arts Department with Chairman Shirley Gaddis, Co-Chairman Sherry McReynolds, Annette Brinkman, Barbara Gonshor, Carolyn Pfeiffer, Cathy Sharp, Patsy Smith, and Pat Worsnop, was responsible for the program. Members of the department decorated the tables using the Mardi Gras theme and many of the ladies wore beads to celebrate the occasion.

Jane Parker awarded them with club notebooks and yellow roses.

Education Chairman
Shari Fulford announced that the Education Department will be in the concession stand at the Sports Ability Games on March 28 in Navarre and the Home Life Department will be there to do face painting for the children. Home Life Department Chairman
Mary Eder announced that goods or funds will be collected at Wal-Mart on March 15 to help Interfaith Ministries.
The Annual Club Art Show boasted of many beautiful entries made by the members. There were handcrafted items and photographs lining the tables and the wall waiting to be judged. Blue ribbons were awarded to Lolly Sandfort, Linda White-Spunner, Annette Brinkman, Bettie Lee Sundstrum, Mary Eder, Carolyn Pfeiffer, Marion Ginn, Sherry McReynolds, Kay Craven, Alma Dearth and Pat Landfair. The winning items will be entered in the District Art Show that will be held in Niceville at the Twin Cities Woman's club. Before lunch, B.J. Echles and Kay McKinney entertained the group.
