Repairs underway to Bowden beach road

Reconstruction of J. Earle Bowden Way, from Eastern limits of Pensacola Beach to Navarre, began in October.

Panhandle Grading & Paving is currently removing sand and asphalt from the roadway and existing parking lot, grading and building sand fence, demolition and asphalt pavement n the parking list in Opal Beach area, moving sand to Phase III and asphalt removal in Phase III.

The road is currently closed to all traffic including pedestrian and bicyclists.
