DeStaven earns senior professional certification

Employing top-notch people in healthcare setting requires human resourceexpertiseC h e r y human resource manager, Gulf Breeze Hospital, recently earned certification as Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

The certification, awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), signifies that DeStaven possesses the theoretical knowledge and practical experience in human resource management necessary to pass a rigorous examination demonstrating a mastery of the body of knowledge in the field.

To become certified, an applicant must pass a comprehensive examination and demonstrate a strong background of professional human resource experience.

Seniors can work out at Rec Center

Clary Padgett teaches an exercise program for senior adults over 50 years of age.

Emphasis is placed on seated stretching and strengthening, low impact aerobics, muscle strengthening and toning with resistance and progressive relaxation techniques.

Classes are from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday at the Gulf Breeze Recreation Center. The first class is free and subsequent classes are $2 or $12 per month. For details, call Select Medical at 932-9223.
