GBUMC dedicates Benson children's building Sunday

On Sunday, Feb. 24 at 10:30 a.m., the new Children's and Youth Building of the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church will be dedicated in honor of founding members Mark and Eloise Benson. Rev. Tim Thompson will conduct the ceremony and Terrye Takacs will share some of her memories of the Bensons.

The two-story building, which replaced the Life Guard Center, houses the Children's Place Preschool during the week, Sunday School classes for over 200 children on Sunday, and some scout troups. Upstairs in the youth department, there is a Wednesday after school program for over 150 middle school youth. Youth Sunday School classes meet on Sunday mornings, and high school students meet on Sunday nights. This building provides the space for expanded programs for children and youth.

Refreshments will follow. Details: 932-3594.
