Glen "Pat" Ramsey

Glen "Pat" Ramsey, 92, passed away peacefully Jan. 20 with his daughter Lois Hahn by his side at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in New Braunfels, Texas. He lived in his Texas home for 51 years and had only been at the home for five weeks. Ramsey was born in Missouri and spent many years in Illinois. He worked for The Civilian Conservation Corps during the depression and soon after Dorothy Medhurst Ramsey became his wife of 48 years. He later worked as a civil service employee and retired in 1972 from Randolf Air force Base after 35 years of service. His wife died in 1983.

He is survived by his wife, Ora Boothe Ramsey, and her two children, Clyde Boothe (Alicia) and Martha Miranda (Bee). They have five grandsons and one grandaughter and several great grandchildren. He is also survived by four daughters from his first marriage, Carol Sandum (Charles), Lois Hahn (Bob), Diana Bragdon (Bill) and Patty Kattner (Max). There were 10 grandsons and one grandaughter and many great gradnchildren.

Ramsey graduated from Baylor University in 1954 with a degree in business. In 1986 he married Ora Boothe and she was his cherished wife. They had many happy years travelling and thanked God for every day they had together.

Ramsey enjoyed life to the fullest. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and bridge and dominoes player. He was member of First Baptist Church and a deacon of the Baptist faith for over 50 years.

His funeral was at Zoeller funeral home on Feb. 7 in New Branfels, Texas.
