Block still on GBHS table

Acommunity education forum will be hosted by the Gulf Breeze High School Parent Teacher Student Organization on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.

Several administrators from the Santa Rosa County school district will attend to explain the budget issues and the cause of the proposed schedule change in the high schools. Others will speak on both the pros and cons on the block system being implemented in 2009. Information on state funding will also be presented.

The forum will also serve to acquaint all in attendance with the inadequacies of the state's funding formula that results in less per capita allocation to our county as compared to the other 66 counties in Florida.
