Celebrate Valentine's Day with your special someone by joining Act4Murder as they present a comedic murder mystery, "Death by Valentine," in February. The show will be performed at the French Quarter Grill in Niceville on Feb. 16.
"Death by Valentine" revolves around Hart Breaker, trying to throw the perfect Valentine's Day party for her daughter, Candy. Candy isn't impressed with anyone on the guest list and wants to go hang out with her friends instead, but gifts keep arriving from a secret admirer and she can't figure out a way to make her escape. Something has to be done to save this Valentine's Day party... but who will save Candy Valentine?
The show features the comedic talents of Cynthia Bergquist, Mary Ann Averitte, Jessika Kelsh, Julie Shaw, Jim Downum, Dave MacKenzie and Chris Manson. The play is the newest by local playwright Paula Hilton, with choreography by Rochelle Kimball.

'Constructions of Color' exhibit features three artists
Three artists have been preparing their work for the show, "Constructions of Color," at Blue Morning Gallery scheduled for Feb. 17 through March 29.
The three artists are Mara Viksnins, Morris Eaddy and Gordon Levi. A special reception to meet and greet the artists is scheduled for Feb. 22.
Viksnins presents a new series of works entitled Fronds and Flora. She enjoys finding new dimensions by adding some elements of abstraction to allow the viewer to revisit old paths and view them in a unique way.
Eaddy will be exhibiting colorful watermedia paintings, painted on a variety of surfaces. He is interested in a paints a variety of subjects including figurative, floral, landscape, animal and abstract paintings.
Levi will feature a photograph entitled "Blue Moon," the highlight of which is the silhouette of a large tree with the full moon rising in the east and reflecting light across Escambia Bay.

Gulf Islands National Seashore will present a Candlelight Tour of Fort Barrancas on Saturday, Feb. 16, 6 - 8 p.m., Superintendent Jerry Eubanks announced today. The tour highlights Pensacola in the Civil War. In addition, the Fort Barrancas Visitor Center with new museum exhibits, audiovisual programs, and bookstore will be open. Visitors should call (850) 455-5167 for reservations for the free tours.
Costumed interpreters will present the history of Pensacola during the Civil War at different stations inside Fort Barrancas. Small groups up to 20 people will depart the visitor center every 15 minutes for the hour-long tour. Visitors should arrive about 15 minutes before their assigned tour time.

Big bands are back at the National Naval Aviation Museum. The Glenn Miller Orchestra to Perform at the National Naval Aviation Museum Sunday, Feb. 17.
The Glenn Miller Orchestra is one of the most sought-after big bands in the world. Their lineup includes new and old renditions. Listeners young and old are sure to hear something they like.
Tickets are on sale now to see The Glenn Miller Orchestra, scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17 in the Blue Angels atrium at the National Naval Aviation Museum. Concertgoers will also be able to enjoy dinner at the authentic Cubi Bar Café offering a limited menu from 5:15-7 p.m.
Alimited number of admission tickets are available for $20 per person for Foundation members and $25 per person for non-members. Group rates are also available at $20 per person for 20 people or more.
