Dolphins pull out last minute victory
After a 40 point thrashing (64-21) at Washington earlier in the week, the Dolphins forced Mosley into 21 turnovers. Gulf Breeze sped out with a 9-3 run, ignited by four turnovers, in the opening minutes. Dustin Clements revved up the home side with a two-handed jam as Gulf Breeze led 14-7 after one. The Dolphin offense sputtered in the second quarter as they went four minutes without a field goal. That allowed Mosley to make a 10-1 run and take the lead 17-15. But in the final three minutes, the Dolphins forced three turnovers and raced away with a 16-1 run. They only allowed one more field goal, a three pointer with 27 seconds left in the half, and went into the locker room with a 31-21 lead. The Dolphins stalled again offensively to start the second half, making only one basket in the third quarter as they trailed 35-34. After Coach David McGreal was called for a technical foul, the Dolphins responded by forcing three turnovers during a 10-2 run. Mosley tied the game at 44 with just over a minute left.
