It's cold

When one moves to our area of Florida they expect a bit of bad weather, and a few days of cold weather.

This is not what they signed on for. It's cold! I had busted pipes, my parrots want to migrate further south and Rolex moved under our bed.

It's cold. It's windy as well. The wind was blowing so bad yesterday that I saw one of those little Mini Cooper automobiles blowing around the Casino Beach parking lot. It finally came to rest on the Beach Ball water tower.

The wind was blowing so hard yesterday that we had a few palmetto plants in the front yard begin to grow INTO the ground instead of out of it. I saw a bird with a sweater on.

I thought that winter this year was January 4th. That was a good day for it. But, it seems to want to hang on and take us right into Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras comes early this year and the Beach Parade just may have to be held indoors for the first time in history. The good Krewes will be throwing out kerosene heaters instead of beads. I don't mind putting on a sweater for a few days for winter, but I had to get out my beaver coat with the seal coat lining last week. It weighs 200 pounds, but it is warm.

Where is global warming when you need it? I wonder how Al Gore would explain this cold weather? I bet he'd find someone to blame it on.

Well, we are a long way from any warming that I can see. I looked at some white caps yesterday and they were not moving, they were frozen. Now, they say that it may snow. I say bring it on, at least that will require some warmer weather!

I can't wait for Summer, I'll never complain about hot weather again. I have discovered that I can always cool off, but it is hard to get warm when you want to with this weather.

I want to move to Miami, but they are cold as well and I'd have to give up my white sand for that brown stuff down there they call a beach.

Bundle up and wait it out folks...summer is on the way!
