Feds catch People's First suspect

      Terry Dale Dayton, 37 was identified by FBI agents as the man they believe is responsible for robbing the People's First Bank in Gulf Breeze and First Gulf Bank in Pensacola last year. Federal agents caught up with him in North Carolina in November.

Former GBPD officer arrested

      Aformer Gulf Breeze Police officer Duane Leifur, 38 was arrested on Jan. 25 on charges of sexual battery and unlawful compensation. The arrest stemmed from a complaint that Leifur demanded sex from a citizen after a traffic stop in April. Leifur resigned from the force in July.
