Team Hepworth, Karcher win in GBSA 7-8 year old girls basketball action

Teams Hepworth and Karcher were winners in Gulf Breeze Sports Association's 7-8 year olds basketball action during Jan. 12 action at the Rec Center.

A recap of Week 4 action is as follows:

7-8 boys

Hawkins 15, Sheppard 9: Nic Myers had seven points for Hawkins, while Thomas Goodroe, Matthew Hawkins, Dylan Brayton and Deems Edlund had two each.

Cole Sheppard had six points for Sheppard, while Casey Warford had two and Chance Napier one.

Mungai 20, Crowdis 13: Owen Hayes and Brai Royer-Blisset had six each for Mungai, while Jace Mungai and Logan Smith had four each.

Tyler Phelps had six points for Crowdis, while Riley Nolan had four and Michael Flake three.

Stringfellow 10, Grace 3: Nick McCain had four points for String, while Chandler Burtt, Coleman Burtt and Luke Stringfellow had two each.

Steele Chambers had two points for Grace, while Spencer Grace had one.

Leffel 12, Dalton 4: Bo Fabbro and Alec Grimes had four each for Leffel, while Kei Jackson and Gage Irwin had two each.

Joshua Stillman and Erik Czeck had two points each for Dalton.

7-8 girls

Hepworth 10, Curington 4: Megan Hoffman had four points for Hepworth, while Olivia Hepworth, Abigail Jacobs and Meredith McCurdy had two each.

Avery Curington had four points for Curington.

Karcher 10, Taylor 4: Alyssa Scott had four points for Karcher, while Grayce Hoskins, Samantha Karcher and Olivia Spann had two each.

Makenna Faircloth and Jordan Taylor had two each for Taylor.

9-10 boys

Argentine 18, Barham 12: Josh Argentine had 12 points for Argentine, while Kirk Pennewell, Justin Keene and Zach Bingham had two each.

Blake Fournie had seven points for Barham, while Bryce Johnson and Christopher Cody had two each, and Alex Barham one.

Argentine 27, Proctor 20: Joshua Argentine had 15 points for Argentine, while Zachary Argentine had 10 and Joshua Hartley two.

Reid Folland had nine points for Proctor, while Matthew Cutler and Clay Moss had four each and Will Musmansky three.

9-10 girls

Crowdis 23, Clark 10; Savannah Nixon had 12 points for Crowdis, while Katt Crowdis and Lacey Deloach had four each, Claudia Manderson three and Frances Williams two.

Paige Van Tassel had 10 points for Clark.

Radcliffe 16, Rockett 0: Michelle Barrineau and Brie Purdue had five each for Radcliffe, while Emily Radcliffe had four and Jessie Droogsma two.

11-12 boys

Hoskins 31, Newell 22: Chad Wise had 10 points for Hoskins, while Nate Hoskins had eight, Ben Hoskins seven, Sam Hoskins four and Drew Holk two.

Austin Fillinger had eight points for Newell, while Austin Garrett had six, Hank Newell four and Blake Myers and Tyler Olsen two each.

Hayes 35, Newell 24: Nathan Theorgood had 17 points for Hayes, while Connor Bray had 10 and Curtiss Thies, Connor Harris, Pete Hayes and Hanson Theis had two each.

Austin Fillinger had 10 points for Newell, while Jack Costello had six and Austin Garrett and Blake Myers had four each.

Hoskins 24, Mink 4: Sam Hoskins had 10 points for Hoskins, while Ben Hoskins had eight and Bryce St. Ores, Nate Hoskins and Chad Wise had two each.

Tyler Fisher had two points for Mink, while Austin Faircloth and Michael Neal had one each.

Hoskins 30, Flake 8: Ben Hoskins had 10 points for Hoskins, while Chad Wise had nine, Nate Hoskins five, Bryce St. Ores four and Sam Hoskins two.

Danny Gill, Joe Lennon, Slaye Simon and Beau Bennett had two each for Flake.

11-14 girls

Newell 8, Riney 5: Kerrie Shaw had four points for Newell, while Alexa Johnson and Abbey Olsen had two each.

Laura Riney had three points for Riney, while Jessica Bryant had two.

Welsh 28, Munsch 11: Samantha Welsh had 11 points for Welsh, while Sarah Tolan had eight, Savannah Realon four and Christina Ferrara and Natalie Welsh two each.

Rebecca Hyde had five points for Munsch, while Lizzie Fairleigh and Katie Munsch had three each.

Riney 24, Brown 16: Bailey Clements had 12 points for Riney, while Torie Gray had 10 and Alex Karcher two.

Mary Kate Campbell and Michelle Brown had six each for Brown, while Anne Marie Schultz and Richelle Czeck had two each.

13-14 boys

Custred 19, Kuhn 16: Harrison Rhodes had seven points for Custred, while Sergio Tirado had four, Bryce Wein three, Matthew Clay and Devin Jones two each and Chris Kessler one.

Luke Cunningham had seven points for Kuhn, while Cooper Stock had five, Nick Romjue three and Jacob Doyle one.

Byrne 36, Castleberry 34: Taylor Webb had 19 points for Byrne, while Reno Routh had five, Hunter Byrne and Sam Hardman four each and Alex Pagonis and Colin Brewer two each.

Allen Wang had 10 points for Castleberry, while William Farmer had eight, Patrick Roane seven, Reid Torgerson four, Bobby Radcliffe three and Taylor Castleberry two.
