Dolphin wrestlers take fifth at Bay Invitational

The Gulf Breeze Dolphin wrestling team continued a stellar season with a fifth place finish (out of 18 teams) at the Bay Invitational in Panama City on Jan. 12.

Kyle Chavers (160 lb. class), Taylor Retherford (171) and Jason Pendergraph (215) all won their weight classes, while Tanner Eagley (145) and Kyle McKissack (135) both placed third. Here's a wrestler-by-wrestler breakdown of all the Dolphin wrestlers:

Holden Tibbs (103 lbs.)

Mathias Bergan (112 lbs.)

Chris Gary (119 lbs.)

1) was pinned by Brandon Lovins (Leon) at 0:30.

2) was pinned by Corey Deyton (Tate) at 1:50.

Steven Houser (125 lbs.)

George Weisnicht (130 lbs.)
