P'Beach Volleyball team raising money for national trip

The Pensacola Beach Volleyball Club's 15-under team is raising funds to play in next year's U.S. Junior Olympic Girls National Championships in Dallas.

R.J. Salon has donated two facials, hour massages, haircuts and pedicure/manicures for the cause. For $5, one can purchase a raffle tickets for these prizes.

The team will also sell raffle tickets during GBSA basketball games this season, as well as at Winn Dixie, where they'll be bagging groceries Feb. 2. The tickets will be drawn on Feb. 3.

Tiger Point Youth Baseball, T-ball and Softball registration underway

Baseball and t-ball registration for ages 5-14 runs through Jan. 26. Softball reigstration for ages 5-16 also runs through Jan. 26.

Mail in or turn in forms at Tiger Point Park from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. on Jan. 19 and 26. Registration forms can also be placed in drop box located at Tiger Point Park Sports Building.

Pelicans' Butler Champ Camp to benefit Waterfront Rescue Mission

The Pensacola Pelicans and Pelicans Training Academy are pleased to announce that they will be hosting the Fourth Annual Champ Camp Softball Clinic on Saturday, January 26.

Professional softball player Charity Butler is the founder and lead instructor of the Champ Camp. The Tate High School Alumni played college softball at the University of Southern Mississippi before playing professionally with the Michigan Ice, a member of the National Fast-Pitch League.

Registration is currently underway for softball players ages 14 and under for only $15. All proceeds made from the clinic will go directly to the Waterfront Rescue Mission Women's Home. Previous charities include a Southeast Asia Mission, the Tara Blackwell Fund, and Miracle League Pensacola.

The morning clinic takes place from 9:30 a.m. to noon with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. Hitting will be the area of focus in the year's event.

NYSA Sports registrations underway through end of January

Navarre Youth Sports Association (NYSA) T-Ball and Dizzy Dean Baseball, softball and soccer registration will be every Saturday in January from 9AM-2PM at the NYSA gym for ages 4-14.
