A series of year-long events is planned to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Covenant Hospice.

As part of the celebration, Covenant Hospice held an anniversary banquet last Friday night in downtown Pensacola to commemorate the occasion with the public. The highlight of the evening was a presentation of the Circle of Life Award given by Steve Ahnen, senior vice president of AHA, who was on hand to present the award to Dale Knee, who accepted on behalf of the organization.

The Circle of Life Award celebrates programs across the nation that have made great strides in palliative and end-oflife care. Covenant Hospice was recognized for its innovative program that improves the care of patients near the end of life or with life-threatening conditions. Along with the recognition, Covenant Hospice received a $10,000 grant.

As Covenant Hospice continues putting life into days when days can no longer be added to life, Covenant is positively affecting thousands of lives each year. Covenant Hospice serves patients without regard to age, race, gender or religion. When families need end-of-life care, Covenant Hospice provides services regardless of their ability to pay.
