Two local women open a new fitness club in Gulf Breeze

Teresa Banfell and Theresa Gerrety opened "Fit for Women, a 30-minute circuit training fitness boutique, in the Quietwater Business Park.

A brand new exercise facility is open in Gulf Breeze.

Fit for Women is a 30-minute circuit training facility located in the Quietwater Business Park, convenient to both Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Beach.

Owners Teresa Banfell and Theresa Gerrety and their husbands opened the business to fill the need for a workout that's easy to do in as little as 30 minutes, using high energy music to increase the enthusiasm and make the half hour the best part of your day. A voice message reminds exercisers to switch stations every few minutes to keep the workout fresh and exciting.

Each piece of workout equipment is brand new, and is targeted to work a specific muscle group or increase heart rate to help women along toward their fitness goal.

"There are no rules, except just have fun," said Gerrety.

Banfell and Gerrety welcome residents and tourists to their facility.

"Snowbirds who are visiting from out of state don't have to worry about signing an annual contract," said Banfell, and they will even allow tourists to work out on a daily basis.

Any group of four people can sign up and get a discount off their enrollment fee, and monthly membership rates are competitively priced.

Mothers and daughters pay one enrollment fee. Students get a discounted membership, and there are incentives to automatically deducting your membership from your checking account or credit card.

Fit for Women is located in the Quietwater Business Park, building 2 and suite 3. It's easy to get to Fit for Women by taking the entrance from Pensacola Beach Blvd. and making your first left into the free standing buildings. Fit for Women will be on your right.

From Highway 98, turn into the Live Oak Shopping Center Parking lot, and follow the path behind the 3-story Quietwater Office Park to the freestanding buildings. Fit for Women will be on your left in Building 2.

Fit for Women is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
