The Gulf Breeze Dolphin soccer team led four of the five games they played in last week's Soccer Inc. Tournament in Tampa at the half, only to come back to Gulf Breeze with a 1-4 showing.

Land O'Lakes 2, Dolphins 0

The eventual champion of the 32-team field scored goals in each half against Gulf Breeze Thursday.

"It was in the 30s with a 10- 15 mile an hour win - the conditions were awful," coach Bruce Savage.

Gulf Breeze (13-6-3) had a pair of good scoring chances in the second half, but couldn't convert.

Sarasota 2, Dolphins 1

A penalty kick with three minutes left was the difference as the Dolphins lost Friday.

Leland Davis, who made the All Tournament team, scored in the first half, taking a pass from Jake Ceravolo and dribbling through three defenders before scoring.

Sarasota scored on a breakaway to tie it in the second half before winning on the PK.

Dolphins 2, Berkeley Prep 1

Gulf Breeze scored goals in each half to beat Berkeley Prep Friday.

Leland Davis set up a goal by Brad Parrish, whose header made it 1-0.

Josh Pagonis sent a cross across to Tommy Gibble, who scored near post to make it 2-0.

Berkeley Prep scored on a penalty kick to cut the lead in half. BP thought it needed a tie, and the Dolphins initially thought they needed another goal to advance out of pool play, but the win in the head to head matchup would be enough.

Tallahassee Lincoln 1,

Dolphins 0

Gulf Breeze, playing its fourth match in 60 hours, gave up a goal off a corner kick with 15 minutes left to Lincoln Saturday morning.

The two teams played to a 3- 3 tie a month ago.

Tampa Freedom 3,

Dolphins 2

(3-0 in penalty kicks)

Brad Parrish headed in a Nick Malloy corner kick in the first half.

Hunter Hickman made a run early in the second half, setting up another goal for Brad Parrish.

Freedom would score twice in the final 15 minutes off long throw ins.

"We played a lot of bodies," Savage said.

Richard Benson played in goal in every match except the Lincoln match where Tyler Willets played goal.

Gulf Breeze hosts Milton tonight and play at Navarre Friday.
