Man arrested for golf cart fraud
BY FRANKLIN HAYES Gulf Breeze News franklin@gulfbreezenews.com
Investigators are looking for more information about a man who they say took advantage of senior citizens. According to a press release from the state attorney's office, Thomas Marlin Williams, owner of Williams' Golf Cars in Milton, was arrested last Thursday on charges of organized fraud, theft and exploitation of the elderly.

The arrest was the result of an ongoing joint investigation involving the state attorney's office and the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office.

The press release says citizen complaints allege that Williams, 56, took golf carts in for service and would either sell the customer's cart or remove or exchange parts without the customer's knowledge. The state attorney's office is seeking additional information concerning the ownership of various golf carts. Investigators are also asking anyone who believes they were a victim of fraud or anyone that purchased a golf cart from Williams' Golf Cars in the last two years should contact Investigator Richard Furmaniuk or Investigator Jeffrey Shuler at 850-981-5500.
