Aegean Breeze owners celebrate 10 years in Gulf Breeze

When a restaurant is really good, people often make it a habit to drop by frequently. It's a rare and amazing thing when a restaurant actually becomes more than just a place to grab a good meal and becomes a part of your life and your traditions.
After 10 years of business, Aegean Breeze Restaurant in Gulf Breeze has in fact woven itself into many lives in the area. Locals fill the two-room restaurant and tennis clubs, birthday parties, red hat groups, families and senior clubs are regularly seen dining there and marking the special events and the day to day experiences of their lives.
Gulf Breeze Mayor Lane Gilchrist said, "It's a local restaurant and the food is always good. They give you handsome portions and Stavros is always a good host, and Tina as well. And they are a community-oriented business. We see a lot of locals there - and that's always a good sign that the food is really, really good."
And the food is good. Fresh, large portions of seafood, Greek specialties and choices that range all the way from Greek salads with diner's preference of crab, steak and shrimp on top, to platters of Angus steaks and gourmet servings of seafood tempt the diner. Unlike many specialty restaurants that serve delicious fare, Aegean Breeze serves bountiful portions to please any appetite.
You cannot only count on a delicious meal at Aegean Breeze, you will soon feel like part of the family. Throughout the meal, you will hear Stavros Varvouris call to customers from the kitchen to welcome them, and his wife Tina knows just where they like to sit. To be a regular at Aegean Breeze is to become part of the family! Both Varvouris children add to the culinary feats at Aegean, with son Gregory assisting in the kitchen and daughter Elizabeth Gilmore in the "front."
