Soccer can sometimes be an ugly game and the Lady Dolphins found that out in Tallahassee on Dec. 22, losing at Lincoln 3-2.

"It wasn't too pretty," coach Sharon Kerby said of the goals they allowed, but added that the two they scored were beautiful goals.

All five goals were scored in the first half. Lincoln scored twice in the first 10 minutes before Kristen Barona scored to cut Lincoln's lead in half. Jessica Majewski had the assist on the goal, which was scored in the 13th minute.

Majewski scored in the 32nd minute to tie the game at 2-2. Maggie Rodgers had the assist. Lincoln would score three minutes later.

Lauren Davis and Ashley Collins combined for five saves.

The loss dropped Gulf Breeze to 12-6-1 on the season, one more loss than they had all of last year. Bishop Moore, who beat Gulf Breeze in last year's state championship game, was 13-7-2 before going on their run to the state title.
