Dolphins blank Tigers, 3-0
BY JASON THOMPSON Gulf Breeze News jason@gulfbreezenews.com

Stuart Parks takes a corner kick in a recent Dolphins' match. GBHS is in the Admiral Tournament in Tampa this week.
The Gulf Breeze Dolphin soccer team scored three second half goals to win 3-0 at PHS on Dec. 21.

The trend is becoming habit for the Dolphins - every time this season they've gone to halftime scoreless, they pulled out the win in the second half. GBHS has done it four times this season.

Leland Davis, with two players on him, put one past the Tiger keeper in the 52nd minute to make it 1-0. Chris Wilson had the assist, his second straight match with a point.

A minute later, Tommy Gibble sent a cross from the right side to Brad Parrish, who knocked it in for his teamleading ninth goal of the season. Jeff Lanza rounded out the scoring with his first goal of the season in the 71st minute off a cross from Jack Begley.

Richard Benson had nine saves in the first 60 minutes, while Tyler Willets didn't face a shot over the final 20 minutes.

Dolphin JV 3, PHS 0

Chance Wynn, who came into the game with two goals, scored goals in each half as the JV team blanked the Tigers.

Danny Gibble's team-leading 11th goal of the season came off a pass from Jason Lambert. Alex Colston and Doug Overlade set up Wynn's goals.
