Subway's Jared to run at PJC Jan. 5

Jared Fogle, Subway Restaurant's weight-loss icon, will lead area kids on their first mile or half-mile in the first annual Pensacola Kids Marathon on Jan. 5 at 9 a.m. The first segment of the run will be held at the Pensacola Junior College track.

Blue Morning Gallery New Blues Show Jan. 11

The New Year is ushering in a new beginning for nine artists in the New Blues Show at Blue Morning Gallery with an opening reception, a tapas event, on Jan. 11 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The gallery is located at ll2 Palafox Place, two doors north of the Saenger Theatre in Pensacola. Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For details, call 850-429-9100.

Dance for life held this month

The Kelli Noel Stewart Dance Scholarship Foundation Dance for Life Benefit will be held on on Monday, Jan. 21. The benefit will take place from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Hub Stacey's, located at 312 E. Government Street in downtown Pensacola.
