MARY BROXSON 1929-2008
      Mary Broxson, born June 15, 1929 on her father's tow boat "The Viking" on the Mississippi River at Chico, Ark., passed away Friday, Dec. 19, 2008. She and her father, mother and brother came to the area in 1941. Her mother was instrumental in establishing the mail route, and her father helped create the original First Methodist Church at Midway.

THELMA C. RYAN 1924-2008
      Thelma May Campbell Ryan, 84, of Wesley Haven, Pensacola, passed away Monday, Dec.15, 2008 at Gulf Breeze Hospital. Memorial services were held at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze on Saturday, Dec. 20, and were immediately followed by a celebration of her life.
