Local man struck by vehicle on Highway 98
      Gulf Breeze News A Gulf Breeze man was hospitalized in critical condition at a Pensacola hospital after being struck by a vehicle last Thursday as he crossed U.S. Highway 98 at Bayshore Drive. According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, Kenneth G. Hodges, 56, a Bayshore Drive resident, was attempting to cross U.S. 98 from the north to south at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 18.

Soundview Trail home cited for dereliction

      The City of Gulf Breeze Code Enforcement Department recently cited a vacant home on Soundview Trail with a "Notice of Unsafe Structure." According to Gulf Breeze Community Services and Code Inspector Shane Carmichael, the owners have been asked to either demolish the house or submit a rebuild plan.
