Pensacola chamber promotes tourism
      A smiling girl is enticing visitors to imagine themselves on Florida beaches, and it is seems to be working. "Billboard advertising is just a small part of the marketing we do for the CVB (Convention and Visitors Bureau), said Leslie Smith of E.W. Bullock Advertising Agency. Three billboards target traffic approaching Pensacola from I-65 and I-10.

      Along with all the good things in life, there are the not-so-good. Along with happiness, there is unhappiness. Unfortunately, we see this during the Christmas Season. In the hustle and bustle of shopping, there is always the opportunity for rudeness and unkindness, shared by those who are shopping for Christmas gifts. It seems a little incongruous.

Bob Sikes toll passes expire with 2008
      Time is running out to renew annual passes for the Bob Sikes bridge, which is also known as the Pensacola Beach bridge. All annual passes (transponders) purchased or renewed in 2008, allowing access to Santa Rosa Island through the Bob Sikes Toll Bridge, will expire Wednesday, Dec. 31. There will be no January grace period in 2009.
