'The Walk' offers kids activities
Submitted photo Gulf Breeze youth enjoy activities like ping-pong and other games at the after-school ministry known as 'The Walk' at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church. "The Walk" is an afterschool program that gives sixth- through eighth-grade students a place to come and hang out every Monday after school until 3:45 p.m.
The kids walk over from Gulf Breeze Middle School and are greeted with friendly faces, food and games at the GBUMC Youth building. Students then participate in a large group Christian-based lesson.
It's open to all middle school-aged kids throughout the community. Many times during the year, students will have the opportunity to participate in volunteer activities throughout the community.

'70s Skate Night big hit for youth
Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church youth recently had a groovy time skating to 70's music at Dreamland in Pensacola.
Fun was had by all, especially those trying to figure out what to wear.
Most were not too far of the mark with big hair and polyester.
