Gulf Breeze Elementary celebrates new cafetorium
Santa Rosa County school dignitaries were on hand for the ribbon-cutting symbolizing the opening of Gulf Breeze Elementary School's new cafetorium. A festive atmosphere and hearty appetites for food and learning were all present as Gulf Breeze Elementary School celebrated the opening of its new cafetorium early in October.
Dignitaries including state Rep. Clay Ford and his wife, Carol, and Santa Rosa County School Board member Ed Gray III of Gulf Breeze joined students for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and scruptuous, healthy meals.
The kitchen, affectionately known as 'Kid's Way Cafe,' was bustling with activity as workers prepared sandwiches, salads, and the hit of the day -- blue slushies!
Construction continues outside the new building as crews construct four new classrooms that will give teachers and students a little more room to stretch their muscles.
Principal Karen Murray welcomed the guests and invited parents of the students to visit the new cafetorium whenever possible.
