SEC coaches' Halloween costume party
Happy Halloween from your favorite SEC coaches
On the eve of Halloween, I would like to pose this question: If the SEC held a Halloween party for its coaches, what costume should/would each don? The following is my take on their likely attire at the SEC Coaches Halloween Costume Party. I based them on perceptions of personality, career accomplishments and coaching style.

ALABAMA (#2)
It's time to pour the Kool-Aid; the Crimson Tide is legit. At 8-0, 5-0 in the SEC, Bama has all but punched its TM ticket to Atlanta. Though they shouldn't be taken lightly, the LSU and Auburn games don't appear as daunting. Despite a complete meltdown, Bama should have no problem whipping Mississippi State. This weekend's game vs.

AUBURN
The Tigers are reeling after their third straight loss and have their backs firmly against the ® wall. Tuberville is answering a lot of job-related questions these days, and it seems they'll only intensify after this weekend. The Tigers travel to Oxford to face a tough Rebels team that, from the looks of things, will extend AU's losing streak to four.

FLORIDA (#8)
Is anyone playing better than the Florida Gators these days? It's a ® tough argument to make after the 63-5 shelling they laid on Kentucky last weekend. Despite their impressive play, the polls suggest one team is (UF has been surpassed in the rankings by rival Georgia).

GEORGIA (#6)
UGA is the second team to drop more than 50 points on LSU this year. The Dawgs are about to face the other this weekend in Jacksonville. Contrary to popular belief, the young offensive line held its own against LSU's front seven on defense. They face an even bigger challenge this weekend as the Gator defense is Top 5 in the conference in every major category but one.

LSU (#19)
Can you remember the last time LSU gave up more than 50 points twice in one season? Well, I'll save you the trouble of searching the archives. In over 100 years of football, this is the only season in which two opponents have scored more than 50 points vs. LSU. For a defense that was projected to be one of the best in the SEC, that's disappointing.

FLORIDA STATE (#15)
After an impressive victory over Virginia Tech, the Noles again seem to be the class of the ACC. At 6-1 ® and 3-1, they control their own destiny in the Atlantic Division. But in order to play for their first ACC crown since 2005, they must first beat a decent Georgia Tech team.

CENTRAL FLORIDA
Although the Knights lost by 30 points to Tulsa, they can consider their defensive performance a victory, as they held the Golden Hurricane's powerful offense under 50 points. That's about the only positive that can be found in last weekend's game. The offense, which is still ranked worse than 100th in everything but rushing yards (97th), only managed 187 total yards.

SOUTH FLORIDA (#23)
The heart-breaking loss to Louisville probably ended the Bulls' hopes for a Big East title as they dropped to 1-2 in the conference. Despite only managing 8 — yes, 8 — rushing yards, USF still had a chance to win. But their defense would have none of it. A lastminute touchdown pass effectively sank their chances to win the game and the conference.

SOUTHERN MISS
USM has lost five games in a row and finds itself one away from its first losing season in 15 years. At 2-6, the streak of winning seasons is officially over at 14, and new coach Larry Fedora couldn't have dreamed of a worse start to his tenure in Hattiesburg. He has a lot of work to do to prevent many of the faithfuls from abandoning ship at this point.
