ALABAMA (#2/4)
The wheels on the ground game are rolling, and UA is leading the SEC in rushing yards. Rushing success usually equals team success in this league, and Bama is in the driver's seat in the West at 6-0. TM Another key to success is getting the lead early, and Bama has outscored its opponents 88-0 in the first quarter.

AUBURN (#20/23)
Players, coaches, fans, alumni and football analysts have all been displeased with Auburn's offense, or lack thereof. AU is 11th in the SEC in yards, 9th in scoring and last in third down conversion rate.

FLORIDA (#11/12)
UF bounced back from its first loss with a 31-point win over Arkansas. Talk about the Gators underachieving offense, and QB, intensified after the Ole Miss game, but the numbers suggest it's one of the best in the SEC. UF ranks 1st in scoring and 4th in rushing. Tim Tebow is 1st in passing efficiency, 3rd in TDs and 5th in passing yards.

GEORGIA (#10)
Has the extra week off helped the Dawgs regain their confidence? Mark Richt is drawing similarities to last year's team that finished No. 2; we'll see if his players respond with a similar run. UGA controls its own destiny, and winning out from here will ensure them a spot in the SEC title game and possibly a chance at a national title.

LSU (#4/3)
LSU's defense is stout, as expected, but the offense has been surprisingly efficient in the Tigers' first four games. They rank 2nd in scoring, 2nd in rushing, 4th in passing and 2nd in first downs in the SEC. QB Jarrett Lee has emerged as a solid starter with a 146.51 passer rating, 2nd in the SEC.

FLORIDA STATE
A win over Miami was huge because it gives FSU the edge in the fight to re-gain national prominence. However, they will need some help from Wake Forest in order to play for the ACC crown. The Noles racked up over 250 rushing yards for the second consecutive game and eclipsed the 40-point mark for the third time in five games (FSU had 39 vs. Colorado).

MIAMI
Once again, ineffective play by QB Robert Marve helped spell doom for "The U." His completion percentage against the Noles was 42.5 percent (17-40) and he threw two interceptions. Graig Cooper, a WR, accumulated 51 passing yards, almost half of Marve's total, on just one attempt. UM will need much more consistency behind center to make it to a bowl this year.

CENTRAL FLORIDA
The Knights snapped a three-game losing streak by beating SMU last weekend. But they will have to come up with a great performance against Miami in order not to begin a new one. UCF's offense is a dismal 106th in scoring, 113th in total yards and 110th in passing yards. Their best bet is to attack the Canes, who allowed 281 rushing yards to FSU, on the ground.

SOUTH FLORIDA (#19/20)
Unranked Pittsburgh handed USF its first loss of the season last Friday night. The Bulls, who had become the favorite to win the Big East, have begun their conference season 0-1. Luckily they have two weeks to prepare for their next conference match up, which luckily is Syracuse.

SOUTHERN MISS
USM has lost three of its last four games and back-toback home games. Things won't get any easier for the Eagles when Boise State travels to Hattiesburg this weekend. USM's offense has been above average, but the Broncos boast the 12th ranked scoring defense. In order to have any chance of pulling the upset, USM's defense will have to keep this a low-scoring game.
