PollThe Midway Fire District Commission last week unanimously approved a $2.9 million operating budget for fiscal year 2008-09. The District anticipates $2.56 million in expenditures and expenses while estimated revenues and balances of $2.9 million are projected. The Commission agreed to keep the millage rate at 1.4 with estimated net tax receipts of $2.28 million. More ... The Woodlawn Beach Middle School addition of 12 classrooms will cost between $365,000 to $400,000 more than originally budgeted.
