A beloved Gulf Breeze woman, Geraldine McMullen, died Saturday, Sept. 27, as a result of injuries sustained from a fire in her Washington Street home in the early morning hours of Thursday, Sept. 25. The Midway Fire District Commission last week unanimously approved a $2.9 million operating budget for fiscal year 2008-09. The District anticipates $2.56 million in expenditures and expenses while estimated revenues and balances of $2.9 million are projected.
