You can thank me for Fay's fizzle
      Tropical Storm Fay came and went last week, and for the most part Gulf Breeze was spared Mother Nature's wrath. Strangely, Fay seemed to do an endaround on South Santa Rosa County. Heavy rains that inundated the Florida peninsula late last week and Tallahassee over the weekend fortunately moved north of us into Alabama and Mississippi.

      August brings so many things our way. The beginning of school. Thankful prayers from parents. School zone traffic jams. Angry drivers. A more active time for tropical storms and hurricanes. Dog flies. The neighbor's roof. Okay. The last one is normally a result of the more active time for tropical storms and hurricanes, but it could be the result of a very angry neighbor.
