Peoples Home Health emerges

Stone, Buttell acquire Sacred Heart Home Health
Special to Gulf Breeze News

Home health care executives Phil Stone and Tim Buttell recently announced the official closing of their deal to purchase Sacred Heart Home Health.

The new company, Peoples Home Health, plans to retain all current employees and patients.

Peoples Home Health will operate with offices in Pensacola and Niceville. Services include skilled nursing, physical and occupational therapy, enterostomal therapy, speech therapy, nutritional support, home health aides, pain management, wound/skin care, anodyne therapy and more, provided directly in the homes of its patients.

With more than 45 years of combined experience, Stone and Buttell are no strangers to the home health industry. Buttell is a native of Gulf Breeze. He was vice president of sales for Option Care, later Air Products Healthcare, where he worked from 1999-2004. From 2004- 2008 he was area vice president of sales for a national home health company. He holds a bachelor of arts and a master of science in health care policy and administration from Mercer University.

Stone, who will serve as chief executive officer of the new company, began his career in 1970 as a registered pharmacist and expanded into the home care business in 1982. He most recently was division president of American Homecare Supply, Georgia and was owner of Option Care in Atlanta from 1982-2003.

"We take pride in the fact that we will be able to retain the experienced, dedicated staff that has worked so hard to ensure Sacred Heart Home Care upholds its excellent reputation in Northwest Florida," said Buttell. "As a Gulf Breeze native, the opportunity to serve the home health needs of my own hometown is both unique and personally rewarding."
