If the Dolphins are to pull some surprises this season, it will all start with the team's most unheralded group - the offensive line. "Offensive lineman, we're underappreciated," said left guard Chas Logan, one of the group's four seniors and one of the group's three returning starters. More ... Santa Rosa County native and professional golfer Boo Weekley cleans some fish he and some friends caught aboard The Entertainer last week. Weekley went on the trip just days after being selected to the U.S. Ryder Cup team, which will face Europe in the bi-yearly tournament next month in Louisville, Ky. The GBHS Quarterback Club will hold their Meet the Dolphins Night August 22 from 6-9 p.m. at Dolphin Stadium. More ... Elizabeth Branco, age 11, took first place in the Forms and was also first in Sparring at the Battle of Mobile Martial Arts Tournament August 9. Branco, who competed against black belts from four different states, trains at Poff's Taekwondo at the Rec Center. More ... The Breeze Basketball's 17-under AAU team finished second out of 10 teams at the Back 2 School Hoopfest Tournament August 9-10 at the University of West Florida. The Breeze lost their only pool play game to the Northwest Florida Sharks 79-45 in their opener, the same team that went on to win the tournament. More ... State Sen. Don Gaetz (RNiceville) recently rewarded a local student with a letter of recognition for scoring the highest possible level of achievement on the reading portion of the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT).
