Big showing at the 'Big I'
      Sarah Hicks, shown here teeing off during her first high school match last August, finished eighth out of 60 participants at the Trusted Choice Big 'I' Junior Golf Classic last week in Pinehurst, N.C. Hicks shot a four-day total of 303, finishing only seven shots out of second place. She shot an even-par 36 on her final nine holes on Thursday and made two birdies each day.

City Champion
      GBHS junior Ashleigh Ryals won the City of Pensacola's Junior Championship August 4-5 at Osceola Golf Course. Ryals won the girls' 14-18 year old, as well as the Overall title, with a 75 and a 71 for a 146 total.
