U.S. 98 a highway, not sidewalk
      I was first introduced to U.S. Highway 98 back in the 1970s during my college days at Southern Miss. Part of U.S. 98 ran right by the USM campus in Hattiesburg, Mississippi's Hub City. I became friends with a group of fellas from Mobile, Ala., and it wasn't long until I took my first late-night road trip down U.S. 98 to Mobile for a night on the town.

Rec president resigns over accident fee
      On Monday, June 2, the Gulf Breeze City Council, in its infinite wisdom, passed an ordinance to charge all citizens who do not reside within Gulf Breeze proper (zip code 32561) a $260 fee if they cause a motor vehicle accident within the city limits.
