Innerlight to host Surf 4 Cystic Sunday on Pensacola Beach

Innerlight Surf Shop will be hosting a one day surf camp dubbed Surf 4 Cystic July 13 from 1-4 p.m. on Pensacola. Cost of the camp is $50 with all the proceeds going to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Boards will be provided, and participants can sign up at any Innerlight location. More info will be available on our web site www.innerlightsurf.com

Tiger Point soccer registration continues

Kids interested in playing soccer in the Tiger Point Sports Association can register now until July 26.

Registration from July 5- 26 is an additional $85. Forms can be picked up at Tiger Point Park or visit Tigerpointpark.com for more information or by calling 850-916-0082.

Autism Society of Panhandle looking for volunteers

The Autism Society of the Panhandle is looking for volunteers for Small Strides, Big Differences, an event to help disabled children through athletics.

The events are held at Dolphin Stadium from 6-7 p.m. every Tuesday until August 5.

"The mission of Small Strides Big Differences is to help disabled children through athletics. I plan to have organized athletic games and activities that will enable children of all disabilities to participate, strengthening their self-esteem, confidence, motivation, teamwork skills, support, and health. In addition, local athletes and volunteers can benefit from the exercise, while helping others," said organizer Kiel Gross.

Breeze Basketball Camp July 14-18 at GBHS Gym

The second annual Breeze Basketball Camp is July 14- 18 at the GBHS Gym.

The camp will feature GBHS head boys basketball coach David McGreal and his players as staff and also returning is two time State of Florida coach of the year Jerry McGreal to help teach the young men of Gulf Breeze basketball fundamentals.

There will be contests, games, stations, counselor games, and basketball theory sessions. Lunch will be -- provided for purchase, or they can bring their own lunch, and the concession stand will be open throughout the cam for goodies.

There is no pre-registration, regisration is Monday July 14th starting at 8 a.m. in the high school gym lobby.

Lady Dolphin Youth Soccer Camp July 21-24 at Shoreline

The eighth annual Gulf Breeze High Youth Soccer Camp is July 21-24 from 9 a.m.-noon at Shoreline Park.

The camp, which is for boys and girls ages 5-12, is $100 for the week or $25 per day. A family discount of $5 a day will be added to those who bring multiple family members to the camp.

Campers will be broken into age groups - 5-year-olds (North America), 6-7s (South America), 8-9s (Europe) and 10-12s (Asia). Water breaks will be every 15-20 minutes.

Campers will need to bring sunscreen, water, shin guards and a soccer ball.

GBHS Volleyball Camp July 21-24 at GBHS Gym

The Gulf Breeze High School Volleyball Camp for fourth-12th graders is July 21-24 at the GBHS Gym.

The Fundamental Skills Camp is 8-11 a.m. and costs $60; while the Advanced Skills Camp (for eighth through 12th grade) is 12- 2:30 p.m. and costs $75. Register by June 30 for free t-shirt.

Session placement depends on volleyball knowledge and experience. Any eighth through 10th graders and girls new to GBHS volleyball should contact Coach Waynn Sellers before registering for Advanced Skills (e-mail Boyzrule62955@yahoo.com or call 932-7682).

The camp is sponsored by GBHS Volleyball Booster Club and forms are available at GBHS Athletic Department, Rec Center, or the Booster Club.
