GBSA 9-, 10-year-olds win district titles
      The Gulf Breeze 9-under and 10- under All Stars went undefeated to win the Dizzy Dean District Championships June 18 at Shoreline Park. The 9s got an RBI double in the bottom of the seventh to score Kendall Gallagher to beat Navarre 13-12 in the final, while the 10-under team, the Wave, won five games by mercy rule to win their third consecutive district title.

Leading the way
     Dylan Ferraro (left) and Blake Bidwell witnessed Jordan Cartledge's 1.84 spanish mackeral catch at the Budweiser King Mack and Cobia Tournament Sunday on Pensacola Beach. The catch was the first place finish at the time. Look for results and more photos in the July 3 issue of the Gulf Breeze News.

13-under GB AAU team takes second at Evans Shootout
      The Breeze Basketball's 13- under team took second place at the recent Reggie Evans Southeast Jam Tournament. The 13s lost only one game in pool play. Among their wins was an overtime win against the Mobile Raptors. They beat the Raptors again by 10 points to advance to the finals, losing to the Mobile Heat.

      Close to 500 runners took part in the 2008 Gary McAdams Sandshaker 5K run Sarturday on Pensacola Beach.

     The 'Tie-Dyes,' made of of members of the GBHS varsity and JV girls soccer teams, recently won the 2008 PFC U18 Spring League Six-A-Side Championship. They are (kneeling): Jenna Ceravolo. Helping hands and feet
     Former GBHS varsity girls soccer coach Eric Miles had several members of his former Bayside team to guest play with his team from Naples on Memorial Day weekend in Jacksonville for the Region C Regional Championship. The team failed to advance to the finals in Virginia Beach by one point. They are (from left): Alex Herman, Jenny Wells, Anne Preston and Carly Loehr.
