Gulf Breeze Hospital offers expanded, improved gift shop
      Gulf Breeze Hospital's expanded gift shop is now open for business. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The shop opens early on the second and fourth Friday at 8 a.m. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. During the winter months, the gift shop will be open on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

      Growing southern peas in the vegetable garden is a great Southern tradition. Southern peas are known as 'cowpeas,' 'field peas,' 'blackeyes,' 'crowders' or just peas. Varieties are called crowders if the seeds are spaced so closely that the seed ends are pressed against each other. Colorless varieties are called creams.

      Q: Last spring, my roof sprang a leak and water stained the ceiling in my daughter's second-floor bedroom. We fixed the leak and repainted the ceiling. However, now the new paint is cracked and, looking closer, I noticed a seam appearing along the ceiling and small, round depressions -- screw holes, perhaps?
