Storm wins two tournaments
      The Gulf Breeze Storm won two tournaments last month, the second of which was in Disney World in Orlando. Storm 14, Cummings, Ga. Storm 13: Daniel Green's walk off homer was the difference as Gulf Breeze won a battle of 'Storms.

NBA Finals make me feel like a kid again
      For me, there are two things that make me feel like a kid again - Gulf Breeze- Catholic games and listening to the Molly Ringwalds. Now I have a third - the 2008 NBA Finals. It's been 21 years since you're favorite sports writer's favorite NBA team has won its last title (that's the Celtics for the non-fanatical sports fans out there).

      Tiger Point Football's Kickoff Golf Classic today The Tiger Point Sports Association's Kickoff Golf Classic is Thursday, June 12 at Tiger Point Golf and Country Club. GBSA's 8-under girls win tourney
      The GBSA 8-under All Star softball team won the End of the Season Tournament, sponsored by the GBHS softball program on June 1. GBSA 16, Navarre 14: Sam Karcher and Madison Patrick both went 3-for-3 with a double and scored three times as Gulf Breeze held off a late rally to beat Navarre.

Native Brazilian returns home - but not before he aced American citizenship exam
      Fraga DaRosa completed a two year run as head coach of the Bayside U16 boys' soccer team, the Thunder, this Memorial Day Weekend in Jacksonville with a semi finalist position in the US Club Region C Championship and a fifth place GotSoccer state ranking.

Three Gulf Breeze teams take second at GBHS Summer Classic
      The GBSA 8U and 10U All Stars both lost in the finals of their respective divisions. The 8Us lost to Bill Bond 16-3, while the 10s, the Wave, lost 3- 1 to the Aquasox. 7-under GBSA 19, Tiger Point 6: Chance Napier hit a two-run homer, while Spencer Wirth and Tyler Gore went 3-for-3 and scored three times in Gulf Breeze's win over Tiger Point.

Wirth wins GBSA coach-pitch game
      Kell Jackson, Spencer Wirth and Chance Napier all scored four times for Wirth in an 18-12 win over Owens. Jake Molina, Rich Earle and Josh Smith all scored three times in the loss. Goodroe 9, ReMax Raiders 6: Braden Massey went 3-for-3 and scored three times, while Connor Thompson and Bren Bodi both went 3-for-3 and scored once in the win.

Five of seven area teams still alive in Molino
      Three of GBSA's four teams and two of Tiger Point's three All Star softball teams made it through the weekend at the Northwest Florida Girls Softball Alliance's postseason tournament in Molino.
