Beach optimists toast a successful school year now that
      School's Out ... for the teachers and staff of the Pensacola Beach Elementary School as of Thursday, June 5, and to celebrate a stellar year of Blue Ribbon Award winning educating, the Pensacola Beach Optimists held their annual Appreciation Luncheon the educators at Cabana Cafe.

'Friendly natives' open beach cafe
      What started as a plan to open a beach restaurant took a four-year detour, but it was worth the wait. Joyce Brown, her son Jesse and his friend Tony Williamson opened the Native Cafe last month in Pensacola Beach's "historic district" after their initial plans were interrupted by the fire in the unit next door.
