GBHS shines despite 7-0 losses; JV loses one, ties one
      Members of the Dolphin varsity and junior varsity football teams were in the locker room, waiting on Coach Chris Nemith, who was speaking to members of the local media, after last week's spring jamboree at Dolphin Stadium. But new offensive coordinator Sean Tomey couldn't wait that long.

Pfeifler, Kasler back to winning ways
      Less than a month after winning the first state tennis titles in GBHS history, Jackie Kasler and Jen Pfeifler are winning tennis tournaments once again. Kasler, a rising junior, won the International Tennis Federation doubles title in Waco, Texas with partner Alex Cercone on May 11.

French new varsity cheerleading advisor
      Grace French has kept busy during her first year at Gulf Breeze High. She's making no plans of slowing down next year as she recently accepted the GBHS varsity cheerleading advisor position. "(Athletic Director) Mark (Kostic) asked me if I'd be open to it. I told him of course," said French, who was an assistant softball coach this past season.

2007-08 year full of memories
      Hopefully by the time you read this, youre favorite sports writer, as well as members of the GBHS Class of 2008, will be back on some semblance of a routine sleep cycle. That's because of Project Graduation, the annual event that promotes good clean fun and not the kind of fun that can get recent high school grads arrested - or worse.

Team Goodroe wins GBSA Rookie League
      Team Goodroe won the GBSA Rookie League title this season, closing out the season with three straight wins. Rookie League Baseball Goodroe 27, Brandon 18: Justin Fruitticher went 4-for-4 and scored five times, while Connor Thompson and Matthew Hitpas both scored four times in a win for Goodroe.

Mariners win Tiger Point 8U title
Finish season perfect at 15-0
      The Mariners of Tiger Point completed their season with 15 wins and zero losses to finish 1st place in the 8U division. "Teaching young players the basics, getting and keeping their attention and stressing the expectations of the way they act on the field is the key factors to success in this league," coach Sean Roby said.
