      The Gulf Breeze High School's Air Force Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps were recently named a Distinguished Unit for the fifth consecutive year.

     Third-grader Leanna Samay takes aim with her bow and arrow with the assistance of Lord Knut (Mark Bailey) of The Society of Creative Anachronism during Gulf Breeze Elementary's Medieval Festival on May 16. Students later were treated to a feast with the King and Queen.

Gupta, McIver win national title at Science Olympiad
      Gulf Breeze's Nathan Gupta and Katie McIver won the national title in the Anatomy category at the 2008 Science Olympiad Sunday at George Washington University. Gupta and McIver, who are freshmen at PHS and GBHS, respectively, competed in the Middle School division.

Poets - and they know it
      Gulf Breeze Middle School recently held a Poetry Night in the GBMS Library. Close to 40 students participated and most of them shared original work. Approximately 120 people were in attendance, as the students enjoyed free refreshments and door prizes. Right: Rainey Fountain reads her poem titled 'Emotions.
