Pensacola Beach was busy with activity Saturday, May 25, as hundreds of people participated in the always popular Surf Fest event near the Gulf Fishing Pier. Under brilliant, sunny skies, young and old alike enjoyed numerous activities, including surfing and surfing lessons, a sand castle-building contest, hoola-hoop contest and skim-boarding. Vendors from several local surf shops had goods for sale, and great music was pumped over the public-address system.
