MERABAH BURDICK 1921 - 2008

Merabah O. Burdick, 86, the sister of Norman Olson of Gulf Breeze, passed away Saturday, May 10, in Angelica, N.Y.

Born in Lakewood, N.Y., on Sept. 19, 1921, Burdick was the daughter of Axsel and Arvilla Stukey Olson.

Merabah married Carrol T. Burdick on June 19, 1943 in Alfred, N.Y. Mr. Burdick died in March 2007.

Merabah was a loving foster parent for 15 years. In addition to playing the piano for several of the organizations she was involved in, Merabah is remembered for her knitting and crocheting skills.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband and a brother, Kenneth Olson.

In addition to Norman Olson, Merabah is survived by her daughter, Dawn Miller of Angelica; grandchildren, John (Elizabeth) Gugino and Michelle (Shayne) Ellsessor of Angelica; and Valerie (Randy) Smith of Canaseraga, N.Y.; 10 great-grandchildren; sister in-law, Phyllis (Reid) Mattison of Whitesville, N.Y., Myrtle Olson and Marie Olson of Lakeland, Fla.
