Several area fire departments participated in a joint-training drill on Navarre Beach last week. Holley-Navarre Fire Department and Navarre Beach Fire Department hosted the drill with Midway Fire, Pensacola Fire Department and Florosa Fire and Rescue. The firefighters first held a 30-minute training meeting followed by a hands-on training drill in a high-rise condo on Navarre Beach, with smoke pouring out of the 10th floor.
