The Gulf Breeze Dolphin football program recently took part in a program called Bigger Faster Stronger, a program that strives to improve a player on and off the field. The Gulf Breeze Dolphin football team held its inaugural Lift AThon fundraiser Friday in the GBHS Gym. Players solicited pledges based on how many reps they could perform on the bench press. Players had the option of benching 70 percent of their body weight or 70 percent of their 'max' lift. More ... The senior class edged the juniors 6-0 in the final of the annual Gulf Breeze High Powder Puff Game, marking the third straight year the graduating class has won the game. Seniors 6, Juniors 0 Brittany Clay scored on a 14- yard run for the game's only score. Ashley Collins had a pair of long runs to set up the score. More ... Jason Thompson/Gulf Breeze News Setting the standard The girls' 4x800 meter relay team of (from left) Jen Pfeifler, Katie Aldridge, Lauren Musick and Emily Tryon set a new school record at the state meet, as did the boys' 4x800 meter relay team of (from left): Tommy Gibble, Sam Grooms, Kurt Mason and Will Thomas. More ... Ben Zimmer had three hits and three runs scored, while Daniel Green had four hits and two runs scored in Mayes' 13-9 win over ReMax in recent GBSA Rookie League action.
