He performs Sunday at Beach church benefit
      America's #1 Bubba, our own T. Bubba Bechtol, is the main attraction at a benefit performance 6 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at the Pensacola Beach Community Church, Via deLuna Drive at the corner of Avenida 18. Special musical guest is Ronnie Levine. The proceeds will help build a new fellowship hall for the church.

      April is a good month. We are to get April showers so May flowers can pop out and make the world beautiful. It is a month of undecided weather. I don't know if I should raise my windows, cut on the air conditioner, bring in some more logs for the fireplace or move further south.

Slow down, don't travel so fast along life's road
      I read this story several years ago, and its making the rounds again, about a young and successful executive who was driving down a neighborhood street, going a little too fast in his new Jaguar. As he was a seasoned driver, he was very cautious, however, as he slowed down for fear that a child might dart out from between parked cars.

     The full moon rises Saturday night over the Beach Club condominiums on Pensacola Beach. The mild weather had many people flocking to the beach this weekend.

Dishing the Crawfish
     Pensacola Beach Chamber of Commerce volunteers turned out to help dish up mudbugs to hungry Crawfish Festival attendees. The event, hosted by Bamboo Willie's, featured crawfish, live music and children's activities. Proceeds from the event went toward chamber activities. PBES Fundraiser Beach Ball is Friday
      Friday night is the Pensacola Beach Optimist Club's big fundraiser, the Beach Ball to benefit Pensacola Beach Elementary School. "It's going to be a wonderful time for a wonderful cause," Mary Claus, President of the Pensacola Beach Optimist Club, said.
