School Board OKs $2 million for 40 acres in Navarre

At the Santa Rosa School Board meeting on Feb. 28, the school board approved $2 million to purchase a 40-acre plot of Navarre land from former school teacher Katherine Petrelis. Petrelis is selling 40 acres of her 307-acre plot of land northwest of Fern street off of Edgewood Drive and is gifting an additional five acres. More...

Sheriff nabs 27 on ID theft charges

The Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office is working to crack down on undocumented workers in the area. As a result of their diligence, 27 had been arrested and nine have already been convicted and sentenced as of press time. More...

Coy Lee Bass entered into rest on Wednesday, March 5. Coy was born on Jan. 3, 1919 in Laurens, South Carolina and moved to Gulf Breeze, where he and his late wife Margaret lived with their son. Coy was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Gulf Breeze. Coy retired from Daniel Construction and served in the U.S. Army and is a WWII veteran. More...
