Holley Navarre Seniors Association celebrates 17 years On March 15, the Holley Navarre Seniors Association is celebrating their 17th Anniversary with a giant Founders Day Celebration. The ceremonies will begin with the NHS ROTC color guard, followed by the Commemoration ceremonies. From there it is all fun and games. The Irish Dancers will perform beginning at 11:45 a.m. They will begin serving lunch at 12:30. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, salads etc, and lots of birthday cake for all. Bingo and shuffleboard will start at 1 p.m. At 2 p.m., Harvey Craft and Larry Marta will be playing together, Music with Memories for dancing or just listening in the big room, while lots of games will be going on in the other room. The seniors are inviting the general public to help them celebrate 17 years as an organization, as the entire community of Navarre was instrumental in building their building originally. They will be recognizing the founders, and a number of the community who were so helpful in the early days, and down through the years. They are particularly hoping to see the senior members of the community who are not yet members. PJC presents 'Broadway a la Carte' The Pensacola Junior College (PJC) Lyceum series presents Broadway a la Carte 2008 March 20-23. The musical revue is 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Ashmore Fine Arts Auditorium, Building 8, on the Pensacola campus. Comprised of theatre professionals and rising stars from the greater Pensacola community, Broadway a la Carte 2008 features selections from "DreamGirls," "Jersey Boys," "Mamma Mia" and other Broadway hits. Roy Bracken is director and choreographer; LaVonne French is musical director. Pensacola Symphony Guild Luncheon Pensacola Symphony Guild to hold its "Magnolias and White Linen" luncheon on April 2. The 22nd Magnolias & White Linen luncheon, sponsored by the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra Guild, will be held Wednesday, April 2 at New World Landing in Pensacola. Doors open at 10:30 a.m., and the luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. The Patron Party will be held on Tuesday, April 1. The guest speaker of the event will be Ann B. Ross, author of the "Miss Julia" series of novels. Ms. Ross holds a doctorate in English from the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill and was a professor of literature at the University of North Carolina-Asheville. Tickets to both the luncheon and Patron Party are available for $35 each and are available from Linda and Philip Balink- White at 850-476-6242. In addition, copies of selected "Miss Julia" books are available for purchase for $15 each, with half of proceeds going directly to the Guild.
