Ethel V. Goff Robertson 1918 - 2008 Ethel Robertson was called home to be with her heavenly Father on Sunday, February 3rd, 2008. Ethel was born on September, 30th, 1918 in Parsons, West Virginia to James & Margaret Hansford Goff. In 1948 she married Ralph E. "Jim" Robertson in Winchester, Virginia. After living in Cumberland, Maryland they moved to Gulf Breeze, Florida in March 1961. She was a charter member of Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church. Ethel was a devoted homemaker, wife & Mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Margaret Goff. Her husband Ralph E. "Jim" Robertson, her stepson Donald C. Robertson, two brothers, Dizz and Frank Goff, five sisters, Beulah, Lena, Eve, Elsie & Grace. Ethel leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted daughter, Susan (Ernie) Schluter, stepdaughter, Janet Robertson, three grandchildren, Bridget (Robert) McClendon, Scott (Jennifer) Schluter & Brandy (Josh) Jones. Five great grandchildren, Brooke Reynolds, Garrett & Madison Schluter, McKenzie & Skyler Jones. A dear great niece Jo Elizabeth (Michael) Brown and a great, great nephew Max Brown. Many nieces, nephews and their families, plus many friends located throughout the U.S. that she loved so very much. The family would like to thank Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church, Reverend Jerry Blacklaw and church members for their faithful support, visits, cards, flowers and prayers. Gulf Breeze Hospital nursing staff, Dr. William Howe and staff, Senior Home Care, especially Hope Austin who went above and beyond her duties with loving care and devotion. Last but not least, her faithful and loving caregivers, Cordelia Irwin, Pat Schluter & Jo Beth Brown. Ethel's gentle and sweet spirit will be greatly missed by her family and many special friends.
